Our founding partners came together in 2009 with a vision for the future of investment management. They wanted to build a firm without silos, where teams combined their knowledge, talent and resources to pursue the best relative risk-reward opportunities across asset classes, sectors and geographies.

Our capital formation group directs all aspects of Sixth Street’s relationships with our global capital partners. We work to ensure that we are thoughtful business builders, innovative problem solvers and direct communicators as we invest on behalf of our capital partners and their underlying constituents.
Core platform
Our core platform is our control-side business within the Sixth Street investment platform. Team members in the "core” operate as an integrated function alongside our investment teams to perform our risk management, operations, finance, legal, compliance, technology, accounting, people management and other mission-critical professional services.
