What we do

We partner with owners, operators, sponsors and management teams to support acquisitions and growth, navigate complexity and create value across markets globally. Our approach pairs flexible capital and capital structure insight with active asset management, value-add resources and deep sector expertise.

Why partner with Sixth Street?

We approach every opportunity through the lens of the underlying business. Working as one integrated team, we provide everything from direct asset ownership and control equity to creative, balance-sheet-enhancing capital solutions.

Long-term, tailored capital solutions

Leveraging a deep, long-term capital base, we invest across equity, credit and asset partnerships with a flexible mandate. Our solutions-oriented approach, patient capital and meaningful scale allow us to support the infrastructure industry’s most significant transactions while structuring bespoke financing solutions for our companies and management teams.

Collaboration in action

Non-control equity

Sixth Street invested in EdgeConneX, a vertically integrated data center developer and operator founded in 2009. Today, the company is a leading provider of data center capacity, focused on energy-efficient and sustainable designs optimized for large-scale cloud and AI deployments. The company provides critical digital infrastructure to investment grade customers, empowering the global digital economy by enabling the cloud on a global scale. As of 2Q 2026, the company has a global footprint, with 105 data center facilities in development or operation, in 70 markets across 5 continents and 26 countries.

Multiple equity joint ventures

BP and Sixth Street have partnered on over $4b of equity joint ventures across BP’s midstream portfolio of long-haul refined product pipes, deepwater GOA pipes and onshore U.S. shale pipelines through five joint venture equity partnerships with multi-decade horizons.

Control equity

Sixth Street acquired a controlling equity interest in Iron Horse Midstream alongside the existing management team. This midstream platform has a valuable existing asset base that we plan to scale alongside the management team over the next several years to meet the needs of upstream producers, downstream customers and digital infrastructure developers across the U.S.

Joint venture

Sorgenia is one of the largest independent energy transition platforms in Italy. In partnership with F2i, a European sponsor, Sixth Street applied its strong knowledge of local stakeholders and regional expertise to complete this transaction and support the continued growth of Sorgenia, underscoring our thematic focus on power, renewables and the energy transition.

Control equity

Caliche is an acquisition and development company focused on the underground storage of natural gas, industrial gases like hydrogen, and helium and carbon sequestration. Sixth Street’s majority investment includes the company’s Golden Triangle Storage facilities and carbon sequestration development project in Beaumont, TX, and its Central Valley Gas Storage facilities in Princeton, CA. Sixth Street’s investment provides Caliche with additional resources to pursue new opportunities and to expand the GTS complex.

Credit and non-control equity

In 2017, Sixth Street co-led a strategic investment in the creation of AirTrunk, an Australian hyperscale data center business for cloud, content and large enterprise customers. Sixth Street funded the initial growth and development as AirTrunk expanded throughout APAC, reflecting our conviction in high-quality digital infrastructure platforms and our willingness to partner early with exceptional operators.
